Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cup rice flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp coconut cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp peppermint extract
  • Few drops of food coloring of your choice

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together eggs, coconut oil, honey, peppermint extract, and food coloring. Slowly add in the rice flour, as the dough becomes firm, you can begin using your hands to mix. 

Cut your dough into the Christmas tree shapes. Place on a baking pan and bake for 10-15 minutes. Let the cookies rest for about an hour after to get the desired crunch. Now you can decorate these trees any way you want!

Eggnog Christmas Treat

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbs of melted organic coconut oil
  • 2 tbs of organic maple syrup or honey
  • 3 tbs of non-dairy milk (oat or coconut milk)
  • 2 cups of gluten free all-purpose flour or gluten free oat flour
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

If the dough is too wet, add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time. If the dough is too dry, add ½ tablespoon of water at a time. The dough should not be sticky.

This dough is the perfect consistency to cut into a shape of your choice, choose between holiday shapes like candy canes, stars, reindeer, or Santa heads.

Set the oven to 325 degrees. If using oat flour, bake for 32-35 minutes, if using all-purpose flour, bake for 35-38 minutes. 

Sweet Potato Treat

  • 3.5 oz container sweet potato baby food
  • ¾ cup + 1 tablespoon gluten-free flour
  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine sweet potato baby food, flour, rolled oats and honey. Dump the contents into a lightly floured working space and knead the dough until its thickness is about ½ of an inch. Lightly brush the heart shaped cookies with the egg wash.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are crips and golden in color. Rotate pan midway through baking for best results. Let treats cool before passing them out to your furry friends. 

Bacon Peanut Butter Biscuits

These biscuits from A Pinch of Yum on Instagram are sure to make any pup happy and can be stored in the fridge making homemade treats easily available at any time.

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup oil (coconut is nice, canola also works
  • 2 ½ cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Roll out your dough and pull out your favorite cookie cutter to make shapes. Set oven to 350 degrees and bake for 15 minutes until cookies are golden-brown. 

To top it off, whisk 2 tablespoons of melted bacon grease and ¼ cup of smooth peanut butter and drizzle the glaze over your treats before serving. 

Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 ½ cup oat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder 
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground clove
  • Pinch of allspice
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, combine the flours, baking powder, and spices in a bowl and mix. Ass the molasses and applesauce and mix to combine. Add the egg, vanilla, and coconut oil and mic to combine (add more flour if necessary). 

Roll out gingerbread and cut into your choice of shapes or cut into gingerbread shapes. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until the edges are golden.
