A man had finally settled into his new town, but something still felt missing from his life. He thought getting a companion in the form of a shelter dog might help. So he did just that. He went to the shelter where a black Lab named Reggie needed a home. But they didn’t hit it off right away.
The man gave it two weeks (the amount of time the shelter said it may take for the dog to adjust to his new home), but it just wasn’t working out. Maybe it was the fact he was also trying to adjust to a new situation. Maybe they were too much alike. But then the man started going through Reggie’s stuff, and that’s when he was reminded of a letter the previous owner had left with the dog. That’s what would end up changing their lives dramatically.
What an amazingly beautiful story. It’s all going to work out for Tank and his new owner. ?

“Roadside Stray” Picked Up By Angel, Eyes Grow Wide As He Sees First Meal
For the stray animals out there, we ache knowing how hard it is to find a daily meal and a warm place to sleep. They contend with so much, including injuries. For this poor stray dog, he realized his body was giving out after he was gravely wounded.
He lay on the roadside, waiting for death to come. He no longer had hope. He was so exhausted, starved and afraid. Finally, after how many vehicles must’ve passed him by, a car stopped. His guardian angel approached him and noticed a large wound on his back.

It was so badly infected that it appeared to be rotting. He also had thousands of fleas. The combination of his injury, malnourishment and flea infestation, had left him too weak to fight. (The wound looks very bad, but we promise this precious dog makes a full recovery!)
The dog’s angel brought him to a local shelter. He was given medication for the fleas and his wound. He was finally shown love and affection. They also gave him food and water!
The poor stray is so hungry! He eats everything as fast as he can, not knowing if he will have another meal again. But the good news is, he will! No more struggling on the streets, sweet boy.
The shelter workers keep the wound nice and clean. And with antibiotics and proper care, he begins to heal. In just a month, his wound is practically gone.
Once the pup felt so better, he was available for adoption. And guess what! He found a forever home with a wonderful family that has another rescue dog he can play with. By the grace of God, just as the pup was close to giving up, an angel appeared and the rest is history!
